Merged Heroes (2+ NFTs) accumulate EXP passively. EXP can be used to redeem new visual traits, items and future functionalities.

Start Date: 05 May 2022 (First day of the Hero Merge Phase)
End Date: 31 Dec 2024 23:59:59
Experience System went live on the 15 Mar 2023
Heroes merged before that date, received the experience accumulated from the day they were merged until EXP launch date directly via airdrop
After that date, EXP is accumulated continuously and can be claimed into the Hero at any time via the Hero Builder on our website https://leanime.art
Claiming newly accumulated EXP will cost some gas, so it is best practice to just claim it whenever needed.
You will be able to see the EXP in your Hero, and the EXP accumulated and ready to be claimed via the Hero Builder

Only Heroes made from 2+ NFTs accumulate experience (Minimum: 2 Spirits or 2 Le anime or 1 Spirit and 1 Le Anime)
EXP accumulated is proportional to the Hero Score. The higher the Score of your Hero the more EXP is accumulated
Examples of EXP currently accumulated (approximatively)
- Score 10: 73 EXP x Day
- Score 100: 775 EXP x Day
- Score 1'000: 8'266 EXP x Day
- Score 10'000: 91'445 EXP x Day
- Score 100'000: 1'097'347 x Day
As you can see 10x the Score gets 10x the EXP plus a bonus - the higher the Score, the bigger the bonus (see full maths below)
EXP x Day is capped at Hero with 100'000 Score
EXP accumulation slightly decreases with time (~20% a year) so the best strategy would be to start accumulating as early as possible by merging NFTs into your Hero
- Example: If the first day of EXP (05 May 2022) you get 100 EXP x Day, the last day (31 Dec 2024) you would get 50EXP x day, and everything in between.

Yes, when you merge more Spirits or Le Anime, your hero SCORE increases and EXP will be accumulated faster
Le Anime have significantly higher Score than Spirits (20x in average), so they might be the best and most efficient option to increase Score quickly
Merging additional NFTs is currently the only way to accumulate more EXP
Note: In the near future you will also be able to merge a Hero into another Hero

If you remove ANY Spirits or Le Anime from your Hero, you lose all your EXP accumulated and all the EXP in your Hero goes to 0.
BUT, you get to keep anything you acquired with EXP previously, for example Additional Layers bound to your Hero NFT.
Note: Un-merge is currently not active yet

THE EMPORIUM The first use case of EXP is to acquire new Additional Layers for your Hero, which are additional visual traits available to customize your Hero
New Additional Layers to be redeemed for EXP will be released regularly (Le Anime only or collabs)
Some additional layers will be very accessible, others will be really limited and available only to the highest EXP Heroes (and everything in-between)
NOTE: Not every future Additional Layer will be based on EXP only - some will have different criteria

EXP increases proportionally to the power and rarity of a Hero, represented by the SCORE, and opens a myriad of possibilities for future mechanics that take into consideration the relative strength of every single Hero.
The main idea behind EXP, is to create a point based system that allows Hero holders to personalise their Hero and Le Anime world experience even further.
Instead of every Hero getting the same new items or airdrops, a Hero gets EXP points that can be used to redeem *some* new items, leaving the choice open to the collector.
This allows for a better gamification of the project, in which rarer Heroes get to redeem rarer items or functionalities.
Examples of possible use cases of EXP could be:
- Exclusive tiered items redeemable for EXP
- Unique editions and Collabs
- Rare physicals
- Limited functionalities in exchange for EXP
- Le Anime EXP-based events and challenges

EXP is an intrinsic value of a merged Hero, just like the Score
EXP is accumulated with time passively and can be exchanged for items or functionalities
EXP is an “in-game” value of Le Anime and it is held by the Hero. It does not have any value outside of your Hero.
EXP is a dynamic trait of your Hero, think about it in video-games terms. EXP is used to power up your Hero art and Le Anime (with additional layers for example)
